Strange: username and password not accepted

I have a problem when trying to sync with my WebDAV server: says that username and password were not accepted by the server. I checked both of them and tried to change them: I'm able to connect with the same username and password through Vista web folders, but not with Zotero. I also tried to re-install zotero and closed and launched Firefox many times as well as restarted the laptop. It seems as if there are some wrong information sent by zotero to the server. Any idea on how can I get zotero syncing again?
  • What does it say, exactly?
  • Well, I don't use the English version of Firefox, so I will try to translate. When I try to verify the syncing server it says: The WebDAV server didn't accept the username and password that you entered. Check your sync options or ask your system administrator.
If I try to sync the red icon appears saying: Verification $S not succesful. Check your syncing options.
I already asked also my server administrator but they just confirmed that the server is working fine.
  • You can provide a Debug ID for a server verification attempt from the Sync pane of the Zotero preferences, but the message pretty much means what it says, so there's not much we can do other than show you the response from the WebDAV server. You may just have the wrong URL entered in.
  • The URL, username and password were all correct (and I was able to connect with Vista Web folders to the WebDAV server). What I had to do to make Zotero sync again was to connect to the WebDAV server with Firefox, insert the username and password when asked, then also Zotero did connect agai. It seems that there were some Forefox settings overriding Zotero's.
