current style for journal of proteome research

Does anyone have the current style for the "journal of proteome research"?
Unfortunately I could not fine a matching style in the repository (the style for this journal does not quite match).
They require the following (plus year in BOLD)
(11) Licklider, L. J.; Thoreen, C. C.; Peng, J.; Gygi, S. P. Automation of
nanoscale microcapillary liquid chromatography-tandem mass
spectrometry with a vented column. Anal. Chem. 2002, 74 (13), 3076–83.
Any help is very much appreciated,
anne
  • Per the author guide, that journal needs submissions to use the ACS style. Please enumerate specific changes to that style you think are required.
  • sorry,
The changes that this journal wants are:
    -title of the article
-after the volume of the journal the issue number in ( )
-page numbers shortened (instead of 3076-3083 they want 3076-83)

The style for "journal of proteome research" in the repository includes the title but not the rest.

your help is very much appreciated,
    thanks, anne

Do you have a source for these requirements? The ACS style guide notes that "Some ACS publications include the article title in journal references, and some do not". It would seem like we should have two separate styles.

The ACS style guide notes that issue numbers are only required "for periodicals in which each issue begins with page 1". Are you sure that the issue should be included?

The guide notes "In page spans, use all digits, closed up, with no commas or spaces" & this is in conflict with your third point.

The year should be in bold...
  • The journal stated to look at the current issue for exact styles.
They really want to have the journal title in there as well as the issue number.
The page numbers vary- so I think the whole numbers are o.k. (pasted 2 references that show the style. (1) with shortened page numbers, (2) with whole numbers)
And the year is in BOLD.

thanks so much for your help,

Can you point me to where they do this? I've linked to the author instructions that state, explicitly:
Author(s) should consult The ACS Style Guide, 3rd ed. (ACS: Washington, DC, 2006) for the appropriate style to use in citations of journal papers, books, and other publications.
If this was an instruction from an editor to you, please at least ask for clarification on the points where their published style differs from ACS (which I indicate) and possibly even direct them to this thread.
