Word cannot communicate with Zotero - Ensure that Firefox is open

I'm frustrated rant rant because I can't get this to work now I have upgraded. Tried everything, uninstall - re install (several - no, numerous times) and all I keep getting is the dreaded message that Word cannot communicate with Zotero etc.
I am using an english version of word etc.

OSX 10.6.4
Firefox 3.6.12
Word 2008

Python latest version
Zotero 2.9
MacWord Integration 3.0b5

Anyone know what I can do. I'm so sorry I upgraded now with a paper to write and no integration.

    With Firefox open, can you open /Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app and type (or copy and paste)

    ls -la /Users/Shared/.zotero*

    and press return, and then paste the output here? Also try typing

    echo 'MacWord2008 addCitation' > "/Users/Shared/.zoteroIntegrationPipe_$LOGNAME

    and pressing return, and let us know if you get an add citation dialog or if an error appears.

    I have just managed to get it working. Basically I restored the database file with the backup and re set Zotero and now it is working.
