OpenOffice plugin for Zotero 2.0.9.
Hi
Since I installed Zotero 2.0.9. on my Mac OS X (Version 10.6.4) the OpenOffice (3.2.1.) plugin does no longer work. I get the following message "Firefox could not load the component required to communicate with your word processor. Please ensure that the appropriate Firefox extension is installed and try again." even after having reinstalled the OOo components.

make sure you test Java in Firefox
I tested Java in Firefox through the Mozilla plugin page. Everything seems ok on that side.
There seems to be a more general problem with Java-Firefox-Apple cf. https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/760535
I hope they resolve it soon as Zotero does only work with Firefox
I installed Firefox 3.5.14. where it worked. Then I retried with Firefox 3.6.11 and now everything works again. Sorry to have bothered you even if I think that there is a Java-Firefox-Apple problem (see above and in numerous other forums).
So this discussion-thread can be closed. Thanks for your interest and help
edit -I haven't updated to FF 3.6.11, though, so that might be the case - but didn't you say Java works for you in FF anyway?
