Streaming audio or video
Hi, Zoteroites:
RE: Streaming media. I'm doing research where streaming audio and video are important to cite. What does Zotero like to call this media types? I see you have "podcast", TV broadcast" and "video recording" and "audio recording" available as categories, but streams are usually different from these file types, aren't they?
Just wondering, since I'd rather not reclassify everything later on.

This is an old discussion that has not been active in a long time. Instead of commenting here, you should start a new discussion. If you think the content of this discussion is still relevant, you can link to it from your new discussion.
For example, practically any kind of file can be streamed on the Web, even a still picture. On the other hand, some streams are done live and only exist for the duration of the stream, such as a conference session.
Best,
Gary
I'd like to see Zotero clean up its type logic along with a move to a more relational data model. But this stuff is difficult; in the real world we constantly conflate different kinds of objects.
