"Empty response from server"

Error code 924077590. Trying to sync from a Mac PowerBook G4. Software up to date.
  • Provide a Debug ID for a sync attempt that produces the error.
  • Debug output has been sent to the Zotero server.

    The Debug ID is D1406076184.
  • Please re-read the instructions. That's empty output.
  • The 'Enable' button was greyed out initially; it took 2 tries.

    The Debug ID is D1252886203.
  • Fixed now, though you should upgrade to 2.0.9, which would have avoided this problem. (You have 2.0.3, which is outdated.)
  • I had my Mac 'check for updates' earlier, but that obviously didn't include Zotero. Under preferences, I have checked:
    'Automatically check for updated translators.' So from now on I'll use the Z website and update manually. My PC updates automatically.

  • You don't need to update manually. Zotero is a Firefox extension. Just make sure Firefox is set to update add-ons automatically in the Firefox preferences.
  • Well, FYI, 'automatically download and install' updates is always checked, incl 'installed add-ons'. When I checked the history, it looks like I have a clock issue...I don't think Firefox was around in 1969. But going forward, I should be fine now. Thanks.
