Suppressing library syncing when using portable firefox on USB drive?
When the number and volume of the attachments (e.g., PDF files) have grown beyond the 100MB free storage, you can add more storage for fee. How does that work in conjunction with portable firefox on USB drive?
When you use portable firefox on USB drive, as I do occasionally when I have to work on public computers, the remote library (on the Zotero server) will sync with the local library on the USB drive. That means, if your USB drive maxes out, you can no longer sync the library even if you have space in the remote storage. You can buy a bigger USB drive, but they are expensive. Is there any way to suppress Zotero from syncing the library when you are using portable firefox and establish sync only when you are using desktop?

I think a previous request was made to be able to push newly obtained files to the server without having to pull old ones from the server. This would also be useful for network drives or shared machines.
There are certainly cases where you probably don't want to have to wait for a two-way sync and/or it would push you over a limit. An expanded request might be to be able to pull PDFs from the server individually, on demand.
