Error with EBSCO translator
Hi,
I am getting an error with the site translator for EBSCO.
I think this may be institution specific. When I access the page via a Harvard library account, I have no issue. However, when I try to access it through an MIT library account, there is an error.
Here is the report ID:
87339719
Here is one URL (of several) for which I am having this error.
http://web.ebscohost.com.libproxy.mit.edu/ehost/detail?vid=1&hid=109&sid=f4a6c3f3-c049-45dc-a7a1-14b0f05c5f28%40sessionmgr104&bdata=JnNpdGU9ZWhvc3QtbGl2ZQ%3d%3d#db=bth&AN=22494198
I am not having this trouble with other databases for which I access through MIT libraries nor with the EBSCO database when accessed through a Harvard library account.

I'm running Zotero 2.1b1, FF 3.6.10, Vista, behind a company firewall, all extensions other than Zotero disabled. I can add Zotero entries from other pages, but when I try to add one from EBSCOhost, I get "Could Not Save Item ... Check Known Translator Issues". The report says "Permission denied". This happens on various pages, including: http://ehis.ebscohost.com/ehost/detail?vid=1&hid=116&sid=f66739c5-ff4d-4b68-b80b-5d92ca36a551%40sessionmgr112&bdata=JnNpdGU9ZWhvc3QtbGl2ZQ%3d%3d#db=mth&AN=37134728
Aha! I can now add it from the Zotero window, although not from the navigation bar. I could do neither before I disabled extensions.
I suggest you contact your EBSCO representatives (or ask your library staff to do the same) to find out why your interface doesn't match that experienced by others. They were very helpful in fixing the translator when it broke with a recent redesign, and hope willy they can provide insight into what is happening for some of their clients/users.
