  • First, unrelated to Zotero, but disable your Yahoo toolbar—it's creating very weird error messages.
"An error occured throwing an exception"
This probably isn't related to Zotero.
When i want to sync with zotero server, it is not working and shows a red symbol(Conflicts have suspended automatic syncing).
This isn't an error message. Just click the sync icon, as the second half of the message says.

    Thanks for quick reply.

I have uninstalled yahoo toolbar, now no error message shows while opening Firefox. But Still zotero problem (sync with zotero server) is not solved. Now i am using zotero 2.0.9.r7065 version.

(This isn't an error message. Just click the sync icon, as the second half of the message says.)
As your suggestion, i did it then again i reported this problem and report id is 1003243328.
  • I'm still not seeing a Zotero sync error in there. What's the message in the dialog box (not the error reporting wizard) when you click the sync error icon?

Can you provide a Debug ID for a sync attempt that generates the error?
  • the sync error message is An error occured throwing an exception.

    The Debug ID is D2008137083

That debug output appears to be empty—it may have been stripped out by our server. Clear output, sync immediately, and send in another report as soon as you get the error.

But you should probably first try disabling all your other Firefox extensions and possibly reinstalling Firefox, because that's not a Zotero error or a common one.

As your suggestion i have done Clear output, automatic sync , and the sync error message is still same as before (An error occured throwing an exception) and report id is 109145022.

You are right because i uninstalled my firefox at first when i was faced this problem.
  • No, we need another Debug ID, not another Report ID.
  • But it still doesn't look like you've disabled all your other extensions.
  • The Debug ID is D2147418478. I have disabled all of my extensions.

Still empty. View the output, copy it to a text file, save it, zip it, and, if the resulting zip file is smaller than 20MB, send it to support@zot....org with a link to this thread.
  • Just try once, The Debug ID is D198981309.
  • All that shows is a sync resulting in the "Conflicts have suspended automatic syncing" message—which, again, doesn't indicate a problem.

What we would need is output for just the manual sync that triggers the "An error occured throwing an exception" error—not anything before or after that.
  • Problem is still there and looking like no solution.

I think you're misunderstanding me. Read what I wrote two posts ago. I haven't said anything about fixing the problem. All we're trying to do at this point is get your debug output, and I told you how to get it to us.

I have sent you debug output. Please check.
  • The debug output you sent us—again—does not appear to show the error. All it shows is output for a sync that produces the "Conflicts have suspended automatic syncing" message. That only shows up for an automatic sync. We don't need output for that. It doesn't help.

Sorry, but we just can't help you unless you can send us output for a manual sync—output for clicking the sync icon and getting the actual error you reported above.
  • How could i get output for a manual sync?
  • Turn on debug output, click the sync icon. When the sync completes or the error occurs, stop debug output and submit it. Then post the debug ID here.
  • Hi ajlyon,
Thanks. I did the same process. But again the Debug ID is D609887721.
  • Things you could try:

    1) Reinstall Firefox.

    2) Create a new Firefox profile, install Zotero into there, and point it to your existing Zotero data directory from the Advanced pane of the Zotero prefs.

    3) Change the user interface locale to en-US and/or try an English version of Firefox. (This shouldn't be necessary, but you're using a locale that Zotero doesn't yet have a locale for.)

I have done all of things but problem remains same.
-For by default data directory location, no error occur. But when i show my data directory to previous one then sync prob occurs.

There is one thing that i have created a group for my project. So main problem is group library. I am not able to see others attachments and others also not able to see my attachments.
