download synced copy of library from website

I am using Zotero 2.0.8 and have it set up to sync with zotero.org.

Today I lost all the references in my library on my workstation. However, zotero.org still has all of my references. I am wondering whether it is possible to download or export my library from the website so I can restore it to my workstation.

I'd appreciate anyone's advice. Thanks in advance.
  • In your Zotero preferences --> sync --> Reset ---> Reset from Zotero server
and then click the reset button.
How did you just "lose" all your data, though?
  • Thank you! I successfully recovered my data with your instructions.

I am not certain how I lost the data, but I believe it occurred because I started Firefox in Safe Mode and (mistakenly) checked a box to permanently reset some browser settings to their defaults.
  • there is a good chance your old Zotero data is still on your harddisk - it's quite hard to delete it - if you had attachments that didn't sync that might be worth exploring.
Otherwise probably not worth the hassle.
