no synching or library access

I have been consistently prevented from synching and from viewing my library for a week or so. When trying to view my library, I get the error comments:

My Library
There was a problem loading collections. Please try again in a few minutes.

There was a problem fetching the items in this library. Please try again in a few minutes.

What does this mean??

I use Zotero on an iMac and an XP laptop. My Zotero and Firefox versions seem to be up to date on both machines.
