How to "logoff" sync preferences on a public machine

When I'm using Zotero in a public computer lab, I want to sync to my Zotero.org account and then "logoff" so my account is no longer synced from the client on the public machine.

Is there any way to do that?

    Ideally, use a different user account on the machine that prevents other users from accessing your data. If you are unable to do this, it is likely that you can use a different firefox profile from other users who are using the machine. If you must use the same profile, simply remove your account information from the sync preferences & disable syncing.
