Error on Trying to Import from Ebsco Databases

Whenever I try to import from an Ebsco database screen, I get this error message: "Could Not Save Item. An error occurred while saving this item. Please try again. If this error persists, contact the translator author."
  • I'm getting a mixture of this problem and a "Saving Item..." window that never goes away. When that happens, it seems to hang the Firefox process (under Windows, at least, you can close the window but firefox.exe stays in the task manager).
  • The EBSCOhost interface has recently changed how it handles exports to bibliographic managers, which is probably what broke the translator. See the "New Features" page within the search interface.
  • EBSCO's new citation export design broke our translator. We are aware of the problem and expect to roll out a fix soon. Thanks for alerting us.
