PDF

I want to be able to save a web page as a pdf file. Is that possible with this app? And, if so, how?

Thanks.
  • Zotero web snapshots are HTML files, not PDFs. If you need a PDF, you could install a PDF printer and then print the web page from Firefox with that. And, you could then attach the resulting PDF to a Zotero entry, if you want to have easy access to a copy.

There are different PDF printers available, depending on which operating system you use. One option for Windows users is PDFCreator, which is Free software (GPL license):
    http://www.pdfforge.org/products/pdfcreator
Mac and Linux users can try cups-pdf (also GPL):

I've had good luck with cups-pdf and Firefox in Linux.

Mac users can generate a PDF from any application from within the Print dialog without installing anything.

The commercial alternative for Windows and Mac is Adobe Acrobat (not Reader).
