How to separate two merged accounts?

Hello,
I recently started using Zotero (today) and in an attempt to switch users on the same Firefox profile I accidentally merged my library with another user's in my group. I later discovered the post on this forum (Topic: General )detailing the proper way to change users on the same desktop (ie by creating additional profile(s)). It was too late and now, after a fruitless search for a post relating to my present problem, I apply to you for help to un-merge the two libraries.

    there is no easy way, but you could probably easily find the items you have just added to your new accounts by adding "Date Added" to the columns in the middle panel (click onthe small table icon on the top right of the middle panel) and then sort.
    Then you could just export your new ones using RDF export (which generally isn't perfect but will do for that purpose).

    You only have access to your own account, so I would assume the new ones are your own, not the other user's. If that's the case, and you want this to be your account, you can sort by Date Added and then just delete all the old ones. The other user's account on the server won't be affected as long as it's your credentials in the Sync pane of the Zotero preferences.

    You should back up the Zotero data directory before doing anything, though.
