Sync Error: "Cannot move collection into one of its own descendents"

Have not successfully synced my home computer in quite some time, and it looks like I might have done something on my office computer that is preventing it.

I am getting the message in the subject line. The error report ID is 221585597.

Previous to upgrading to the latest version of Zotero, I was getting a stranger error message, which was just the number "2."

  • In 2.0.7, available now, it should tell you the collection in question. Moving that back up to the top level temporarily (possibly on your office computer first) might clear this up.
  • I ended up using the "Full Sync with Server" option from the Reset menu, which found a few conflicts and then seemed to update everything as I would have expected. But it's good to know that I'll get more information if the error comes up again.
