AGU citation style error

My installation of Zotero (2.0.3 with AGU style file dated 7/26/2010 used with Microsoft Office 2007) uses a [Bruce Wood et al., 2010] citation format for authors, instead of [Wood et al., 2010] used by the AGU-JGR. I have posted one of my JGR papers online (https://acrobat.com/#d=37LQX51B8qXOUV5lDraRWA) to show the correct citation style.

Please let me know whether a corrected style file is available.

  • the style is correct, what you're seeing is this:
    http://www.zotero.org/support/kb/given_name_disambiguation
  • Unfortunately, name disambiguation does not seem to be causing this error, because of the following reasons. The full name is cited,
    1. Even though I have used an identical first-last name combination for each author with multiple articles in my database.
    2. Even when there is only one author with the corresponding last name in my entire database.
    3. Even when I cite only one work by the author in question.

What other reasons may induce the style 7/26/2010 AGU Style file to cause this error? Thanks.
  • Does every author have a first-name in the citation? If so, something might be wrong with the local copy of your style. The style in the repository will not do that. I have tested this and reviewed the code.
    Try re-installing the style

If this only happens for some authors, it's definitely disambiguation and you're missing something.
