Trying to merge two accounts

Hello Zotero world,
What would be the best method to merge two accounts? I created two accounts but now want to merge them. I could only find one discussing addressing the topic but it didn't actually say HOW to do it.

    First, make a backup of your Zotero data directory.

    Then, if you're using syncing, sync with one, change your credentials in the Sync pane of the Zotero prefs, and then sync again. Zotero will warn you that you're about to merge data.

    Alternatively, you can use Zotero RDF export from one to the other, but this isn't recommended.

    I have a question regarding merging two accounts: what happens with the groups created in each account? Is it possible to merge them too? I have tried, and the groups remained linked with the owner account.

    How can I merge groups of two merged accounts or migrate groups from one account to the other?

    you can transfer ownership of groups from the owning account under group settings (for each group individually) here on this webpage.
