is there word in ubuntu?
Or are you using cross-over? Then the answer is no - you'd also have to run Firefox in Crossover, which I don't think is working with versions 3.0+, which is in turn required for Zotero.
nothing wrong with that, I would love to try but I seem to be too stupid to make it run properly. something with java is not working it seems, neither with MS then with ubuntu.
plus: I already worked my footnotes into my documents with word. is it then possible to switch without problems of conversion to open office? does open office recognize all references that I put into the text with word? I was just afraid of a big mess!
For getting Ooo integration to work in Zotero:

About switching - footnotes make that a little complicated - here is what you should do:
First, make a back-up of your word file.
Then, in Word
1. Switch to an author-date style (that's temporary, so don't worry about which one)
2. Switch to Bookmarks instead of Fields (in Document Settings)
Then in Ooo
3. Switch from Bookmarks to Reference Marks (in Document Settings)
4. Switch back to your footnoted style
5 . Save as .odt
