Documentation - People misunderstand Zotero basics
An increasing (?) number of people is completely misunderstanding how Zotero works - they believe any item the get from the net goes directly into their "My Library" account on the website.

Usually for anyone who makes it on the forum there'll be several dozens who give up entirely. Can we do anything about this? One thing would be to improve documentation, but beyond that, maybe and empty "My Library" could by default say something like "Sync your local version of Zotero to get your library online. Find out more here" With appropriate links.

Ticket is here: https://www.zotero.org/trac/ticket/1704
"There are no items in this library.
If you haven't yet synced your library, find out how."
with a link to

That measure has been there for a long time.
I'll add an additional link to the quickstart guide since it seems these people are misunderstanding Zotero itself and not syncing.
^that would be my alternate account with an empty library.
