installation not allowed/working with FF 3.6.6

Running Mac OSX 10.6.4
FireFox 3.6.6 (updated recently)

Trying to install newest and older versions (2.0.3 and 1.0) of Zotero, but am receiving the error message: Not compatible with FireFox 3.6.6

Is this a known issue?

I am a new user with a new account.

Thank you
  • The new version (2.0.3 is compatible with FF 3.6x) - try installing again.
Zotero 1.0x is not compatible with FF Firefox 3.6 and upwards.
  • I've tried and retried. I've shut down the computer and restarted, and still it tells me it's not compatible with FF 3.6.6.

If it's of any help, when I attempt to close FF, it tells me that it needs to "cancel 1 download" before it will allow me to quit.

The only other extension I have installed is the Delicious.com extension.

    Any other ideas, solutions?

p.s. I figured 1.0 was not compatible, but I tried because I was troubleshooting.
  • So, I re-assigned myself rights to my own home folder (i.e. /Users/username) and now it seems to have worked.

So, I imagine some sort of rights issue was happening under my account.

I'll post again if I have another issue.

    Thank you
  • I installed latest Firefox 4 Beta last night. Zotero is listed as a non-compatible add-in.
