Problem adding new citations
I am having the same problem. However it seems to be restricted to just a section of the document that I have been editing by cutting and pasting... It appears to be restricted to only one page. However if delete the text and try to write in again it stills gives me the same error:
"zotero experienced an error updating your document. That property is not available on that object"
the debug id is 1191441131
after I tried you suggestion of Resetting in Zotero pref. and chose the first option. Try to add a new citation and got the same error.
debug id 1340538185
thanks

I have done what you asked. I deleted all the parts that are not affected. I am sending the file to the email you suggest. In doing so, I got another debug report id. 756764553
The original document is very long approxim 400 pages (it is my dissertation)
Thank you
Debora
There may be some simple and obvious step that I'm missing, but I've been struggling with this for a couple of hours on two different computers and haven't been able to figure it out. Any assistance would be appreciated!
as a general rule - if you're not sure if something is the same issue it probably isn't - better to open a new thread.
Right now, you're fundamentally misunderstanding Zotero.
Your library generally sits on your computer, not on the web.
You can look at it by clicking the "zotero" logo that you see on the bottom right of your screen in the status bar. Watch the introductory video on the Zotero homepage - pay attention especially around sec. 25-35.
You can later put a copy of your library online, too:
http://www.zotero.org/support/sync
Zotero has a lot of great documentation - read around and watch some of the videos on this site.
Your problem is a "hidden" table of contents field below "Literature," which you can view by going to Tools->Options and checking "Hidden Text" (for Word 2003 and below) or by clicking the Paragraph symbol on the toolbar (for any version of Word). Deleting this field seems to fix the issue, although I don't know what effect this will have upon your table of contents. (You can always remove it to add citations and then put it back later.) Additionally, I've fixed the issue for the next version of the Zotero Word plug-in.
