display trouble - pulled Zotero up to fill half screen, now won't slide back down

Hi I'm using latest Zotero verison on Firefox v 3.6.6 (latest, i think) and have a weird problem. Yesterday, I expanded the viewable area of Zotera by pulling up the top bar to about half screen. I've done this often, always able to pull it back down to a narrow view at the bottom of the screen.

Now, however, if i click on the bar, it won't slide back down below midscreen. I /can/ minimize Zotero completely, or switch view to full page.

Weirder yet: while it can't pull Zotero down below midpage, i can still lift the box even higher into the remaining upper half of the screen, and then slide it back down, but it always sticks at midpage.

Any advice?
  • Try closing or reducing the size the tag selector pane if it's open.
  • Thx arggem. The tag selector pane was open, so i resized it, then closed it. But neither "un-stuck" the overall zotero panel. This is a pain in the rear.
  • If you've resized the tag selector, the Zotero pane should be able to shrink. If it's not working for some reason, you can always delete localstore.rdf in your Firefox profile directory and restart Firefox to reset all Firefox window settings.
  • Hi Dan, Thanks. I did as you directed: deleted localstore.rdg, then restarted. The change had no effect: Zotero is still 'stuck'. Ad
  • 1) Disable your other extensions, in case one is conflicting.

    or

    2) Make sure Firefox is completely closed—either by checking Task Manager (if this is Windows) or restarting your computer—and delete localstore.rdf again. If you did it properly, all Firefox window sizes should be reset, including Zotero's.
  • Dan, That did it: your 2nd point, about ensuring firefox was down when i deleted localstore.rdf. Very happy to have my screen back again! have a good long weekend.
