Trouble syncing

I have synched by laptop computer with my desktop from which I've built a Zotero library. However, the Zotero library that is visible on my laptop is an old version (dating back to when I first synched the machines). I've tried re-syching both pcs, but nothing changed.

Should I attempt to follow the synch server reset options from your support instructions? If so, I would prefer to backup my Zotero files before attempting this. Could you provide me a link to instructions for backing up my files? Thanks.
