An error occurred communicating with Zotero Error code 1356071310

I am using the OpenOffice plugin to cite my thesis... everything has been going fine until this morning. I am now getting "An error has occurred communicating with Zotero whenever I try to add a new or edit an existing citation. Could it be related to a set of Windows updates I ran this morning? (I am using Windows 7.)
