Getting bluehost webDAV to work

I've recently started my own website, hosted through bluehost, and decided I would migrate my Zotero storage over there. They utilize cPanel and Web Disk.

Try as hard as I can, I can't get the webDAV to work - I keep getting a "URL is not a valid webDAV URL" error message. I've created a /zotero folder on the server, but I must be doing something wrong. I suspect I just haven't figured out the "right" URL to point Zotero to, but all of my iterations have failed.

Does anyone here have experience with bluehost/cPanel?

    I just got this from bluehost's tech support:

    In order for this to work you will need to include the port number in the path
    Example:
    http://www.url.com:2078/home2/name/zotero
    Without the port number it trys to transfer via port 80 (web) which will not work with webdav.


    However, if I do include the port number, Zotero immediately reports the server could not be reached.

    Non-standard WebDAV ports aren't currently supported, unfortunately. We'll add support for this in a future release.

    Thank you for the response! That's too bad, but I've got other webDAV hosting already lined up, so it's all good.

    Is there an ETA on the non-standard ports?

    I'm also running into this issue. Hostgator requires that port 2077 be used for webdav.

    Looking forward to that feature being implemented.

    A work-around is to use port forwarding. SSH is great if you have access to a server. There are altrnatives if you don't, such as http://www.networkactiv.com/AUTAPF.html
