How to refer "product number" of "some company" ???

Now, I'm writing a "Review of Scientific Instruments" paper which is a paper for any instrumentation". Actually I need to include some specific commercial product model number and its company name as a reference, because it's not allowed to specify any commercial things in the text in our institute. But I couldn't find any good entry (item type) for those. Does anybody have any good idea or tips?

Thanks,
  • how is it supposed to look as a citation?
    Generally speaking, Report is pretty flexible and has a number field.
    Document is a generic item type.
  • Thx adamsmith,

    But in the citation format for Review of Scientific Instruments, "comments" or "information for commercial product" doesn't show any correct information with any "document" or "report" item types. It looks like I have to use some normal fields weirdly in "Journal" type.

    Thanks, anyhow...
  • Not all styles are complete, so that's not saying much - in fact, report is not specifically defined for most styles a this time. But I won't be able to tell you anything unless you answer my question:
    how is it supposed to look as a citation?
  • Rev. Sci. Instrum. allows comments to be inter-spersed with references. The best work-around that I can think of to this would be to have the style emit the "extra" field (it currently does not) & to make sure that it worked if you setup a blank dummy reference with only something in the extra field (or, alternatively, to have the word processor plugin to cite stand-alone notes).

    Thanks, adamsmith. I know nothing can be a super perfect. But I still want to keep using Zotero, so I'm still struggling. I still think there is a good way for me. Anyhow the style I want my paper to be shown in RSI (Review of Scientific Instruments) is something like the following;

    Zotero_Citationimage
    (if the above image is now shown,

    I appreciate your quick response.
  • Yes, noksagt. I think if a stand-alone note can be cited, then it can be more flexible. But that is not currently supported.
