Bringing back synching with DOI entry

In some zotero version I have used before there was a button next to the DOI field that enabled synching with the corresponding DOI entry, no matter where the citation originally came from.
Can that return?

    no, that might be wishful thinking. That button never existed in Zotero.

    You can use DOI with the magic wand - "add by identifier" function, but that's currently all there is - the feature you want has been requested before, though.
