  • Keeping it simple: FreeMind/ SciPlore would be a fantastic way to present data held in the Zotero repository as an enhancement to the report output. It is already so close, but the HTML parsing gets confused. argh.

    To EXPORT Zotero to FreeMind:
wouldn't it be nice to import the report into FreeMind? you can!
    - FreeMind opens as one node per source
    - drill down opens major categories (Type, URL, Tags,Attachments, etc)
    - drill down displays further details
    - Export a FLASH version of the library (hide/reveal nodes)

    Instructions:
    - copy&paste report from browser into Notepad++
    - remove all blank lines TestFX/ TestFX Edit/ Delete Blank Lines
    - make sure you are in UNIX mode (Edit.EOL Conversion/Unix Format)
    - The horizontal lines should have come through as a simple "*"
    - select from the beginning of one such line to the start of the Title (on next line)
    - Cntl-C copy it
    - Cntl-A select the whole document
    - Cntl-H search/replace
    - Cntl-V paste buffer to "Find What" field
    - leave Replace With blank
    - Replace All - this effectively UN-indents the titles
    - close dialogue
    - Cntl-A to select All and Copy
    - Open FreeMind (new or existing)
    - Cntl-V to paste (voila)

you can now pretty this up, and export to html, flash or java.
    very nice
