Failure during synching. I wish I could remember the details in the report, but synching stops with the error message. The report said something about some javascript line not defined. Perhaps would be nice if the details of the report remained visible after you click to get the error number. The big picture is this: twice while synching, I got an error message that says if it happens again, send a report and report the number.

(No, it wouldn't, because errors generally shouldn't be posted here, just Report IDs. The error you were trying to remember is not related to this issue.)

    Restart your computer.

If you still get the error, try disabling any security software you have installed or, if this is a laptop, try from a different network.
  • Please don't start new threads for the same issue. My suggestions above are our only advice on this issue.
  • Fair enough. Problem is, the nature of the error messages seemed greatly different from earlier failure.
I followed all your instructions and the error persists. Or maybe it's a different error. I have no way of knowing.
  • It's the same error, and it's due to incorrect network behavior somewhere between Zotero and the server. There's nothing we can do about it in Zotero itself.

And you didn't indicate that you tried from a different network. (I understand if that's not possible, but we don't know what causes this, so that's the best we can suggest.)
  • Strong possibility that there was insufficient disk space. After freeing up disk space, a synch went without error.
  • Interesting. That'd be pretty weird, but not outside the realm of possibility—and we don't yet have a better explanation. Let us know if you get it again.
