problems with solutions to Bibliography citation - author first name..
Apologies for reopening this but I can't get the solutions to work.
If I browse to :
...extensions\zotero@chnm.gmu.edu\chrome
I don't see any further folders, just a file: zotero.jar
I can use winrar to extract this, then I have the right folders but editing the
cite_compat.js makes no difference.
If I delete the zotero.jar file after extracting the files, this nearly kills Firefox (I have to go into safe mode to uninstall Zotero, then reinstall it)
So I'm stumped on the editing option
So I tried installing the devel.xpi
First thing - the link is not to the most current version, but no problems there it updated to 1.0.0rc61796
But then when I tried to edit a document I got the dreaded
"An error occured communicating with Zotero. Please ensure Firefox is open and try again"
Running Windows XP, openoffice 2.3 - plugin 1.0b1 and back on 1.0.0rc5.
All help greatly appreciated

For anybody who is interested in doing this too, I used alzip to create the JAR file which was both easy and free
