Bug in Notes editor

I think that I've discovered a minor bug in the Notes editor.

Assume that you have the following sentence:
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.

Now mark several parts of this sentence by using the command key (Mac):
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.

Now press the icon "B" from the menu bar or the shortcut "cmd + B". I would expect that all of parts of the selected text turn bold (e.g. as in Microsoft Word). However, only the first selection actually turns bold:

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.

When pressing "cmd + B" twice again, the first and the second selection turn bold:

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.

When pressing "cmd + B" twice again, all selections have turned bold:

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.

Details about my system:

OS: Mac OS X 10.5.8
Browser: Firefox 3.6.3
Plug-ins: Zotero 2.0.2
  • This is a TinyMCE bug, not a Zotero bug. It happens on the examples on their site, too.
  • The difference is that with their examples the selection of the other parts is removed automatically after pressing "cmd + B". Does Zotero 2.0.2 make use of a different version than the link to the example you provided?

I'm not quite sure which behavior to prefer? :)
  • Yes, 2.0.2 has an older version.
