Anesthesiology style missing since update

Hi everybody,
since I have updated my zotero the Anesthesiology style has disappereared...Who can help me?
Thanx
  • There are two Anesthesiology journals on the styles page -- http://www.zotero.org/styles .

    Can you find it there and install it?
  • Hi ajlyon,
    I´ve been looking in the style repository and there are none. The order in the repository is:
    * Analytische Psychologie
    * Anesthesia and Analgesia
    * Angewandte Chemie (provisional)
    Can you access the anesthesiology style in your zotero?
    I would be so very glad if you could mail it to me:
    nicholas.kiefer@ukb.uni-bonn.de
    Thank you!!!!!!
  • a full text search for "anestesiology" gave no results...where do you see the styles???
  • It seems I shouldn't have capitalized "Anesthesiology" in my post. No, I don't see a style for a journal named "Anesthesiology" in the repository either. If there was such a style in the repository before, it should still be there. I'll search the forums and see if it was, perhaps, pulled.

    I don't think anyone has a style that isn't in the repository. But no styles have been removed - if you had a style called "Anesthesiology", do you remember how you got it?

    In the repository are currently:

    * Anaesthesia
    * Anaesthesia and Intensive Care
    * Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology
    * Indian Journal of Anaesthesia
    British Journal of Anaesthesia
    Canadian Journal of Anaesthesia

    edit: And such a style has never been mentioned on the forums, either.
  • It doesn't appear that this has very complex requirements for references-- it is likely already covered by an existing style. Looking at http://journals.lww.com/anesthesiology/Pages/CompleteInstructionsForAuthorsOld.aspx#references, I imagine that someone like adamsmith could suggest an existing style in about 10 seconds flat.

    (Except for abbreviation list handling, which will have to wait for another day.)
  • Indeed, there are similar styles, BUT: when I choose one of those, the bibliography looses all other citations, restarts numbering with 1...I created the doc with the previous version of zotero and now want to rework a little. So this is obviously a bug...I retreived the style from the repository a couple of month ago. It also is no longer in the local zotero/styles folder!
  • Adam,
    Please note that the journals name is NOT AnAEsthesiology, but AnEsthesiology
    thank you for your help
  • It seems peculiar as well, that when I want to add a citation to the document I have to select a style at all - there are already 60 citations in the document...
  • It sounds rather like you are using a document in which someone has "removed field codes". What you're describing sounds like the citations already in the document are no longer being managed by Zotero. That can happen if you saved in a different format (say, RTF), if you told Zotero to remove field codes, or through some other manipulations of the document.

    The trouble you are having is not being caused by the absence or presence of a single style.
  • ohh, please don´t hate me...
    I had created the citations with ref man, not zotero. I competely forgot, because I have changed my entire literture to zotero, but that one I had created with ref man BECAUSE THERE IS NO APPROPRIATE STYLE for Anesthesiology
    Sorry about wasting your time guys, shame on me...
  • :) Well, it happens. Maybe you could look into making a style for the journal Anesthesiology? Take a look at the http://www.zotero.org/support/requesting_styles page, identify a close match from the style repository, and maybe we can help you make a new style that serves your purposes.
