Custom style not updating on MacWord
Everything is working nearly perfectly in Zotero except for this: I've customized a new style, and it looks fine in the Reference Test pane. However, when I switch to the new style in Word using the Set Doc Prefs button, nothing seems to change. For instance, in the Reference Test pane, the "et al." is added appropriately, after one author. However, Word continues using 2-3 authors for some references. There are also problems with citation and bibliography sorting, which don't work as expected based on my CSL. I realize this is hard to troubleshoot without the csl itself, but is there something I'm doing wrong in trying to switch, in Word, to my new style?
I'm using Mac Word 2004 with the Zotero 2.0.2 and MacWord Integration 3.0b2, which I've tried reinstalling a few times.

2) Did you modify an existing style? If so, make sure you've changed the ... block so that it's different from the style you used as a template. If you have two styles installed with the same ID, Zotero can get confused between them.
There is a good chance that somewhere something is wrong in your style, too.
Could the additional authors be an effect of disambiguation, specifically the
<option name="disambiguate-add-names" value="true"/>
option?
Try changing from a completely distinct style - e.g. if your style is in-text author-year, switch the document to a footnoted style and then to your style - that way you'll be able to see if no change is happening or is something is not working correctly with your style.
I tried switching between styles in Word, as well as clicking Refresh, to no effect.
What happens when you do this? Any reason you couldn't post your custom style somewhere (gist.github.com e.g.)
As I see it now, two things could be going on:
Either the style you've made is broken somehow and the document doesn't update at all - you wouldn't necessarily see this in the reference pane: if, for example, the style calls an non-existent macro in a rare case that you've not tested for it would still work in the test panel.
Or your style is working correctly, but for some reason looking different in the test panel than in the document - as I've suggested above sorting and et al issues can be tricky.
The more information on stuff that you've seen and done you can provide, the better - right now this is just a guessing game.
