Canadian Journal of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences .csl

I have completed my first attempt at modifying a .csl file. I have made this as close as I can to CJFAS specs. I want to post this on the styles page but have never used subversion.

As close as I can figure, I need to write something like (on linux machine)

svn import ~/mystyles/cjfas.csl http://www.zotero.org/styles

All I get is a nano shell. What should I do? Thoughts?
  • two possibilities -
either you just upload the style somewhere on the net and post the link here and one of the people with svn uploads it.

or you need to first get a subversion account from zotero. Then what you essentially need to do is to "check out" the csl directory form zotero using svn, add the file and then commit the change. The best way to handle that is probably to install RabbitVCS (at least if you're on debian) which integrates svn (and in the future other version control systems) in your nautilus.
  • Great, thanks adamsmith. I will try RabbitVCS first and post externally second. more later..
  • Have you posted the your CJFAS csl file anywhere? I'd be very interested in using it. Thanks
  • here you go! http://pubpages.unh.edu/~galuardi/files/cjfas.csl
  • drdrumfish: I know that this is an old post but I tried clicking on the link to the cjfas csl file, but the link is broken. Is there a way that it can be reposted? Or is it posted somewhere else. Thanks :)
