Items cannot be found after cleaing trash

Hi,

I have a big problem. I work with Word 2007 and with two laptops. Everything was fine until today. I cleaned up my trash and now nothing works. There is an error message when I open Word and want to include some citiations: "This item no longer exsists in your Zotero dababase. Du you want to select substitute item? ... Is there another way to solve this problem because my zotero database covers still all items ...

Looking forward to your help!

Thx. Maescher
  • Did you upgrade to 2.0 on two computers with a manually synced 1.0 database, sync them using 2.0, and then delete duplicates?

Alternatively, did you upgrade to 2.0 on two computers with a manually synced database and then try to use a document from one on the other?
  • yes, I have 2.0 on both laptops. I tried using a document from one on the other, but it doesn't work. But when I open a blank document, I have no problem to insert citiations from the database ...
  • It's not having 2.0 on multiple computers—it's doing the things I said above (including what's explained in that linked section).
  • o.k. what can I do now to solve the problem?
  • Well you haven't yet said which of the above actually applies to you, but, assuming it's too late to revert to a 1.0 backup, you'll need to relink any missing citations in your documents.
