error starting zotero
after attempting to upgrade to 2.0, I am unable to open zotero and get into my dissertation library - there is an exclamation point in a yellow triangle on the zotero logo in the lower right hand corner of my computer and clicking on the logo results in "there was an error starting zotero" - help!

If you still get an error, follow the steps in the Advanced Instructions section of the Reporting Bugs page and let us know what appears in the Error Console.
I followed the instructions on the reporting bugs page after restarting without success

Delete compreg.data and xpti.dat from your Firefox profile directory and restart Firefox.
I deleted compreg.data and xpti.dat, restarted Firefox and I still cannot open zotero
Delete compreg.dat and xpti.dat, restart your computer, and open Firefox again. If you're still receiving that message, there'll almost certainly be an error in the Error Console if you've followed the steps correctly. The important thing is to delete compreg.dat and xpti.dat immediately before restarting Firefox and checking the Error Console.
You can also provide a Debug ID using the "Enable after restart" option.
this was in errors - Error: no element found

Are you sure you enabled the showInConsole hidden pref as explained in the Advanced Instructions section of the Reporting Bugs page?
And please provide a Debug ID.
Thank you so much - after again following the advanced instructions six times, the yellow triangle disappeared and I was able to open my library!
How can I back up my library? I am afraid to try to upgrade again as I cannot afford to lose the three years of dissertation research contained in my library...
