Is there any way to get Zotero to mix citation styles? For example, depending on context, things are used like ...
"it was shown (Smith, 2006) that ..."
"Smith (2006) showed that ..."
How can I coerce Zotero to cater for both styles?

ajlyonYou're looking for the "Suppress Author" checkbox, in the insert citation dialogue box. When you want the second form, enter the author name manually and insert the citation. When you insert the citation, check the "Suppress Author" box.
