A Proxy Problem

I've read the documentation and the forums and the preference pane but to no avail...

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Zotero doesn't add my Jstor proxy automatically, and my attempt at manual configuration isn't working. The Hostname I have entered is http://www.jstor.org/%p and the Scheme is http://0-www.jstor.org.skyline.cudenver.edu/%p. I may be misunderstanding something about the codes, but there's very little information. When I click on the URL saved in the citation, the proxy is not substituted and I end up at the regular, non-proxy, version of the Jstor page. --Thanks.
  • Well, as a start, the hostname should be just "www.jstor.org".
  • Oh, without the %p? Thanks. I changed that but it still doesn't work.
  • Indi, make sure you're typing exactly "www.jstor.org" (with no quotes, but also no / and no http://). At least on my machine, this works.

  • Simon, thanks, that worked. Earlier I tried removing the http's from both the host and the scheme but Zotero complained about that. Removing it from just the hostname worked. This is so simple, but I don't see it anywhere in the documentation.
