The subject style error: [Journal of Neurosurgery]

Hi, I'm a new coming user for zotero. And I tried to create my bibliography with the zotero style from this forum for Journal of Neurosurgery: Spine. But I found a little error and could not found a way to fix it. I searched almost all the topics about style modification, but still could not solve this problem.
Elliott D, Yerramalli C, Beckstein J, Boxberger J, Johannessen W, Vresilovic E: The effect of relative needle diameter in puncture and sham injection animal models of degeneration. SPINE 33:588-596, 2008

Elliott DM, Yerramalli CS, Beckstein JC, Boxberger JI, Johannessen W, Vresilovic EJ: The effect of relative needle di- ameter in puncture and sham injection animal models of degeneration. Spine 33:588–596, 2008

The latter one is what I want. Can any one help me to solve this problem? Thanks!

Are you looking for the difference in intialization or in the capitalization of the journal title? In either case, the current version of the style, at http://www.zotero.org/styles/journal-neurosurgery/dev?install=1 , does both initialization and capitalization as you request. Are you using the most recent version of the style?
  • Thanks for your reply. Please notice the difference between the author name. How can I change "Elliott D" to "Elliott DM" ?
  • When I installed the style from the repository, it handled the author name correctly, using all the available initials.

Check that you have the newest version of the style and that you are sure you have the initials (full names) in author field of the item in your Zotero database.
  • Thank you very much. And I apologize for my double-post, and I would not do this again.
The reason for my problem is that I create the database from ISI, which is different from Pubmed about the author issue. And I renew my database from Pubmed and the style is right! Thanks!
  • Glad to hear that you figured out the issue. Missing or incorrect data is unfortunately very common!
