"Sync with Zotero Server" is stuck

I have zotero on several computers. Its working fine on most of them but on my desktop the "Sync with Zotero Server" is stuck at "Getting updated data from sync server". The problem persisted for about the past week. Yesterday I removed both Zotero and Firefox and then reinstalled. To no avail. It is still stuck trying to sync to the server after several hours.
I have Webdav for syncing attachments and a number of groups.

I read the thread you mention. They seem to result from an overloaded Z server that is now resolved. In my case I have Z on multiple computers with the same setup. They all work fine except one and it does not report an error message.

Stuart: There are no queued processes right now. Restart Firefox and try again. If it still doesn't go through, provide a Debug ID for the sync attempt.

The Debug ID is D2035718341. I told it to enable debug on restart and then restarted FF. I let it run for 15 min then uploaded.

I've rebooted the computer over the last few days and still no sync with the server. I have a portable version of FF with zotero installed and sync is also stuck on this computer. Could I have a firewall problem? Any suggestions on how I would go about diagnosing?
