Strange Auto-complete

For example in an author field I get, when I start typing, suggestions for the completion of the author name. Avoiding the mouse, I can go with the Arrow down key to the entry I want to fill in. With "Enter" I choose that entry, with "Tab" I move to the next filed. In so far, everything works perfect.
But, when there is only one suggestion (or only one left), the arrow down key clears the field with the suggestion and the author name is not taken from the suggestion. That's a little annoying.

    For me, if I press enter after the down arrow (which clears the dropdown), it still enters that one suggestion into the field. However, I agree that it should not behave this way.

    You are right. I already gave up when the dropdown field vanished.
