sync problems

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am experiencing on-going problems when I try to sync Zotero. I have, in the past, received a warning that I was exceeding my storage space. When this initially occurred I was only using about 2% of my storage space. It occurred again today and I'm now only using about 8% of my storage space. The snyc arrow spins on continously until I restart Zotero. When I mouse over the spinning arrow I get this message: "Upload accepted - waiting for sync server". These are the error reports I received today:

[JavaScript Error: "File would exceed Zotero File Storage quota" {file: "chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/sync.js" line: 617}]

[JavaScript Error: "uncaught exception: [Exception... "An invalid or illegal string was specified" code: "12" nsresult: "0x8053000c (NS_ERROR_DOM_SYNTAX_ERR)" location: "chrome://browser/content/browser.js Line: 7254"]"]

The report number for the problem described above is 1651716659.
  • You most likely have a large file in your Zotero library. We'll see if we can update that message to include the filename, but if you provide a Debug ID for the sync attempt, we can tell you the file in question (or you may be able to find it yourself in the debug output).
  • Thanks for your response Dan. As you suggested, I went through the Debug ID process. The Debug ID is: D939687905. Can you determine the problem from the debug output?
  • It's hard to tell what file it is from the current output (again, we'll fix this), but you have a 117MB file in your 'storage' directory (within your Zotero data directory) that it's trying to sync.
  • I get this error when I try to sync. I checked my online storage capacity and it stated something like 39.3 MB(its down right now). Now it will sync new items, but not the associated .pdf. What is the problem. I don't think there is a specific file causing this, but I am curious where the problem is originating.

The group 'Fireholetech' has reached its Zotero File Storage quota. Some files were not uploaded. Other Zotero data will continue to sync to the server.
