Zotero won't launch/open

I can't get zotero to launch/open. I have both the most recent version of firefox (3.6) and zotero (2.0). I see the zotero icon at the bottom right hand corner of the web page but when I click on it nothing happens. Also when I try to open zotero from the tools menu by clicking on zotero again, nothing happens. Event trying ctrl + alt + z doesn't work.

When searching through websites I can save info to zotero by clicking the folder icon within the address bar however I can't open zotero to review or organize my saved information.
