Sync Failure

I have Zotero 2.0 installed on both my work PC (using windows XP) and my laptop (using Mac OS X). Both are up to date. However, the two libraries will not sync, and no error message occurs. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks.
  • To resolve the issue it will be necessary to get some more information. Can you look over the sync documentation and provide a bit more detail about exactly what is or is not happening? What happens when you click the sync button? Can you see your library online?
  • Thanks for getting back to me. I have lots of items on my zotero on my work pc. My zotero on my laptop shows only the introductory quick start guide. When I log into my library online, it only shows the quick start guide from my laptop, and none of the references from my work pc. When I click on the sync button, the arrow turns around, then stops, but nothing happens, and I get no error message. I even tried putting in the wrong password to see if an error message would come up then, which it did. I have also tried resetting the sync settings, both doing a full sync and a 'restore from server', but to no avail. Thanks a million.
  • If your items aren't on the server, "Restore from Server" wouldn't retrieve anything...

    If there are no items online, you need to sync from the computer with items, and the other computer is irrelevant until the items show up online.
  • Hi All, I'm please to report that the problem is fixed - I did a 'restore to server' from my work pc to update the library online, and when I installed todays update, both libraries have now synced. Thanks for your help.
