Advanced search bug

I am using Zotero 2.0rc2 on FF 3.5.7. If I enter a query string "test test" test to the search box, the search fails and I get the following in the error concsole

[error output removed]

In the user interface, it seems that the search goes on for ever.

The key here seems to be the combination of something in quotes and then someting without quotes.

After this failed search, some other errors are generated because the search did not return results.

  • Actually, it seems that any search with quotes fails.

Any pointers how to solve this apart from reinstalling Zotero?
  • Already fixed.

  • What a fast response. I will switch to the SVN version then.
  • This particular bug is fixed in SVN, but advanced search still does not work quite right.

Here are a couple of things that I tried typing in the check box. The number of results is in parentheses

"social capital" thisshouldnotbefoundatall (55, only PDF attachments)
"social capital" "thisshouldnotbefoundatall" (55, only PDF attachments)
"social capital" (110, items and attachments)
    thisshouldnotbefoundatall (0)

This bug is not a show stopper, like the one that I reported in the start of this thread.
  • There seems to be another weird issue with advanced search.

When I type the following into the search box using a particular collection that I have

    reference discipline glass 2009

I get one result. But when I type

    "reference discipline" glass 2009

I get 16 results including the correct result, a paper from Glass in 2009, as two entries first one matched by the citation and the second by PDF content.

I am running Zotero from SVN using revision 5669
  • This problem still persists in revision 5722.
  • This won't change for 2.0 Final, but we'll take a look after that.
