problems installing latest update 2.0rc2

When trying to install the latest update( 2.0rc2) so I can sync my library I get the following message:

Firefox could not install the file at
http://www.zotero.org/download/zotero-2.0rc2.xpi
because: Invalid file hash (possible download corruption)
-261

Does anybody have any ideas what migh be causing this?
  • I didn't have that problem (though I did have a different one). I assume you tried a second time - just in the case the error message was telling the truth :-)

I accepted the invitation to upgrade to rc2 (having resisted rc1), but it all went horribly wrong. It seems that rc2 requires FF 3.6, is that correct? The changelog doesn't mention anything?

I had FF 3.5.7, into which rc2 installed without complaint. But I got no Zotero button, although Zotero 2.0rc2 was listed under Tools>Add-Ons, and FF locked up if I tried "Options" from Tools>Add-Ons.

So I uninstalled Zotero, upgraded FF to 3.6, re-installed rc2 and all seems fine, in fact better than ever on many counts.

    No.
  • singley: Try again. If the problem persists, clear you browser cache and try again.
  • Thanks mate, that fixed the problem.
