Line breaks in group discussions

Our group is planning on heavy use of the Zotero groups discussion feature, but we can't figure out how to insert line breaks.

Not sure why it doesn't do this automatically (it does it in this discussion, so why not in our groups?)... I've tried inserting breaks with html, which doesn't work either.

suggestions? Thanks.

    that should be changed to a tinymce box for rich editing, which is now on my list of things to do, but <br /> seems to work for me as is.

    I had tried <br /> with no luck... but did figure out (with some help) that using br/ along with the <span> tags worked for line breaks.
