Microsoft Word plugin's scripts are not notarised
Hi! I am running Zotero 9.0 on macOS 26.4 Tahoe and, along with it, Objective-See's BlockBlock v.2.4.2.
It seems the Microsoft Word integration plugin's internal scripts are not notarised, which is throwing off BlockBlock's new “Notarization Mode” feature (which, incidentally, does not – yet? – offer a way to whitelist scripts), and forcing me to click through a prompt whenever I try to add or edit a citation or perform any other action on Microsoft Word (interestingly, LibreOffice's plugin does not seem to be affected).
Is this something you can fix on your end? Thanks!

It's theoretically possible we could switch to using an AppleScript bundle (.scptd), but it's not clear that Word's AppleScriptTask even accepts that format. The documentation seems to imply otherwise — "The .applescript extension is not required; you can also use the .scpt extension." — and we've had enough compatibility issues with AppleScriptTask on different Macs that we wouldn't be inclined to mess with this now that it's working.
There's really no practical security issue here. macOS itself doesn't require notarization for scripts in ~/Library/Application Scripts, and anyone who could tamper with the file already has user-level access and could do many other things to your system.
