llm-for-zotero` v3.7.17 – can’t add more than one AI provider
I’m using Zotero 8, OS: Win10 with the `llm-for-zotero` plugin v3.7.17.
According to the documentation, the plugin supports multiple AI providers (e.g., OpenAI and Gemini) at the same time, but the current UI only exposes a single provider card:
- In Settings → llm-for-zotero → AI Providers**, I see the large **“+ Add Provider”** button.
- Clicking it creates a **Provider A** card as expected.
- However, after Provider A exists, clicking **“+ Add Provider”** again does *not* produce a second card (Provider B). Instead, I only see one Provider A card; there is never a second provider visible to configure.
- As a result, I can configure either OpenAI *or* Gemini in Provider A, but I cannot keep both providers defined and switch between them inside Zotero.
I fully uninstalled the plugin, downloaded the v3.7.17 `.xpi` again (had to use Chrome because Firefox flagged the file as corrupt), and reinstalled, but the behavior is unchanged.
Is this a known limitation of v3.7.17, or is there a specific way to enable the multi‑provider UI so that Provider B/C appear alongside Provider A?
Observations/ideas appreciated

poettliedited 4 days agoYou have reported this to the plugin dev (https://github.com/yilewang/llm-for-zotero/issues/87), which is the appropriate way. Zotero has nothing to do with this issue.
